Key themes in recent research on interpersonal functioning in borderline personality disorder

Purpose of review We provide an overview new ideas and directions research on interpersonal functioning in borderline personality disorder (BPD). Recent findings highlight the following key themes emerging recent ongoing research: investigation cognitive motivational mechanisms which underpin impairments BPD, tracking BPD across lifespan with earlier interventions longitudinal studies, expansion scope interest to family members individuals people general population levels traits, investigating online, not only by using internet-based testing platforms but also studying social media use BPD. Summary The concise discussion provided here, together identification from this work, provides a snapshot work devoted better understanding disorder.
